Mission Accomplished Cas & Jonesy Return!
After 89 days on the Antarctic ice Cas & Jonsey have returned to warmer climes.
They rejoin us 55kgs lighter, the youngest team ever to reach the South Pole and the first ever unsupported return journey, a feat only 58 people have managed to achieve with support.
Their trip wasn't without its perils however!
Delayed for two weeks at the very outset by poor weather, the pair were beset by blizzards and whiteouts on the outbound journey. The return leg was no easier, putting in the equivalent of a marathon each day - all on snow skis and hauling their provisions behind them.
It's all for a good cause, with funds raised from their sponsored steps going to support young Aussies with cancer.
