In a previous life, Dr Adam Fraser was a scientist, but don't hold that against him. As a scientist he completed his PhD which looked at how lifestyle factors prevent chronic disease and improve our wellbeing. Adam used his research and knowledge and turned to Australian Institute of Sport, improving the performance of elite level athletes.
Now days Adam is Australia's leading educator and professional speaker and trainer who specialises in helping corporate Australia improve their engagement and productivity. Adams work takes many forms from one-on-one coaching, consulting, to workshops and keynote presentations. His client list reads like the who's who of the business and corporate world speaking in 5 countries, to audiences as prestigious as the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Diabetes Association, and the World Congress on Fitness and Nutrition. His corporate clients include Commonwealth Bank, Westpac Bank, National Australia Bank and Century 21. In addition he runs a Diabetes support group, giving people with diabetes education and exercise prescription.
Adam is heavily involved in new research, which ensures he stays on the cutting edge and his material is fresh and relevant.
Combining years of work with Olympic athletes, the armed forces and business professionals of all levels Dr Adam Fraser perfected The Art of FLOW. A philosophy designed to be a real time solution to stress and burn out, that doesn't involve taking time out or adding another task to our already full to do list! FLOW is a state of high performance where an individual is completely engaged, deeply focused, stress free, has positive emotion and a clear strategy. More time in FLOW leads to greater productivity, less stress and greater engagement.
Adam's 'The Art of Flow' presentation is perfect for any individual or team looking to improve their performance. It opens their eyes to a new paradigm and a new way to view work, pressure and performance. They will be equipped with a new metric and language to assess their performance, as well as tools and techniques to facilitate FLOW at work.
The six key outcomes in developing The Art of FLOW are:
1. Thoughts that are realistic, accurate and optimistic.
2. Working with your own energy levels to sustain performance.
3. Developing habits that actually support your desired outcome.
4. The ability to focus despite external events or distractions.
5. Emotions that are positive and functional.
6. Showing up every time to be present to the task at hand.
Adam is a Director on the Board of the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) and writes the health and fitness section for Men's Style and Ralph magazines. He also has a regular radio spot on ABC Radio and is a regular presenter on TV and has been on Channel 7's Sunrise, Koshie's Business Builders, Channel 9's Today show and Close Up in Auckland. In 2005 He was runner up in the Young Investigator of the Year award at the AAESS conference.
Client Ovations: Adam was great at our offsite. It was my second time in his audience and I was entertained as good as the first time. Adam moulds interesting research results and statistics into a humorous, informative and engaging presentation. His message clearly showed us how to maximize our performance each day. Personally he got me to sit up and question my understanding of things, especially things about our rituals and habits. I strongly recommend Adam's presentation to others.
