Anh Do's story begins in the Indian Ocean as a 2 year boy sick from de-hydration on an 8 metre fishing boat with 40 Vietnamese Refugees crammed in like sardines.
The ups and downs, trials and tribulations, difficulties and successes of a refugee during those 3 decades makes for an incredible and amazing inspirational tale that has the audience gripped with emotion one minute and then howling with laughter the next. The result is always a room that has been transformed.

Writer, Actor and Producer
Anh Do is also an accomplished writer, actor and producer. He is co-producer of the film "The Finished People" (Post 75 Productions) a film project with local street kids about street kids. The film, described by Margaret Pomeranz as 'one of the best Australian films of the year' was officially selected for the Montreal International Film Festival and released by Dendy in Australia to rave reviews.

In the 90s Anh completed degrees in Business and in Law at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Anh's book The Happiest Refugee: A memoir was recently voted by booksellers around Australia as the "Australian Book of the Year" and he has just signed a movie deal with Russell Crowe to turn it into a film. It describes how his entire family came close to losing their lives at sea as they escaped from war-torn Vietnam in an overcrowded boat, facing murderous pirates and the imminent threat of death by hunger, disease and dehydration, to Anh's current status as one of Australia's best-loved comedians.
