Daniel Grollo is Chief Executive Officer of Australia's largest privately owned development and construction company, Grocon Pty Ltd. Grocon was originally started as a concreting business in the late 1950s by Daniel's grandfather, Luigi Grollo, building suburban swimming pools and community facilities. Luigi's son, Bruno, turned the company into a development and construction giant in the 1980s and 1990s, building such iconic structures as Melbourne's Rialto Towers and restoring the heritage GPO building at Sydney's No 1 Martin Place.

Educated at Thornbury High School, Daniel joined Grocon in the late 1980s and worked his way up through a carpentry apprenticeship to eventually take over the business from his father in 1999.

Grocon is currently working on the Rectangular Stadium for the Victorian Government in Melbourne, as well as the new headquarters of The Age newspaper and the Financial Review opposite Southern Cross Station. In Sydney, they are working on a commercial tower building for DEXUS at 1 Bligh Street, which is aimedg to be the first 6 Star Green Star high rise in NSW. Grocon has recently expanded into Queensland and is working on two projects on the Gold Coast and one in Brisbane.

More recently, Grocon has completed central Melbourne's QV development, the distinctive Eureka Tower on Southbank and the Melbourne Cricket Ground redevelopment for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

In October 2006, he was appointed a nonexecutive Director of the Board of Bluescope Steel and in 2009 was elected the new national president of the Property Council of Australia.
