Darren has been honoured with 10 Mo Awards and 10 A.C.E. Awards, for 'Comedy', 'Versatile' and 'Speciality Performer of the Year' from 2005 to 2009.

At the tender age of eight, Darren Carr started playing with dolls and talking to himself. Much to his parents' relief, these peculiar traits were not the result of "too much chlorine in the gene pool'", but his interest in the art of ventriloquism. Nowadays, Darren is now recognized as "Australia's Premier Ventriloquist" performing with his pint-sized look-alike partner, "Darrell", and a cast of hilarious characters, in a show which has to be seen to be believed.

Darren has enthralled audiences of all ages at numerous corporate functions, special events, nightclubs, and theatres, worldwide. He has also created and presented specialised programs for such varied clients as:

Tooheys, Wild Turkey, Westfields, Westpac Careflight, Lend Lease, Aristocrat, Darling Harbour, Cancer Council, AFL, Breville, Tattersalls, Starlight Foundation, Campbell's Food Stores, Tandy Electronics, and Dick Smith, to name but a few.

Over the past six years, Darren has also regularly "sailed the high seas" as a guest entertainer on many of the worlds premier cruise lines including P&O, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and Norwegian, performing with great acclaim, to family audiences from all over the world.

Darren has also accepted numerous invitationsto appear as a headline act at the International Ventriloquist conventions held in the USA where he has acheived hearty adulation from his peers.
