Emma Pask was born in Sydney in 1977. At the age of 14, she started singing jazz with her high school band. In 1994 James Morrison visited the school and heard Emma sing. He was so impressed by her voice that, he invited her to sing with his Quartet at a concert that night As a result, Emma, who was still only 16, became the vocalist with the James Morrison Quartet and Big Band.
In the four years since, Emma has toured nationally with both bands. Including highlights such as: In 1995 recording live with the big band, & Don Burrows, at the Sydney Opera House. In 1996 performing for Prime Minister, Mr Paul Keating. In 1997 featuring on her second recording with James Morrison entitled "Quartet".

1998 has seen her become a regular face on many national TV Shows including Hey, Hey It's Saturday, The Midday Show, Good Morning Australia & The Today Show, whilst at the same time continuing a hectic touring schedule of live performances. She has featured on Morrisons' "Three Minds" and is working on the release of her debut solo album.

Impressive as the above events are, no simple list of achievements can convey the experience that awaits the listener the first time they hear Emma sing. Perhaps the best we can say here, is to quote James Morrison in a recent interview, "Whilst it's fashionable to be a jazz singer these days, it's so good to work with someone who's the real thing!"
