John Anderson founded Contiki Holidays in the early 60s with just 25 pounds in his pocket. Today, Contiki is one of the world's leading travel groups operating throughout Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The creation of Contiki is an incredible success story which has never before been told. From a simple idea to a worldwide travel company, John's story is inspirational, humorous, entertaining and educational. His determination to succeed, his belief in himself and his ability to create an international brand name, saw John build the company from one minibus to a fleet of 160 coaches worldwide.

John established The Ellerslie Flower Show as a fundraising opportunity for the Auckland Rotary Club. John turned the show into the largest gardening and outdoor event in the Southern Hemisphere, showcasing the best of New Zealand's horticluture, floral and landscape design. As CEO of the event, John enlisted the help of the Chelsea Flower Show which resulted in the show attracting over 100,000 visitors in its inaugural year.
