Geoff Huegill is one of the world's greatest Butterfly competitors and a tour de force for Australian swimming. His swimming achievements are impressive - he is a dual Olympic Silver and Bronze medallist, five times World Champion, eight time World Record holder, and seven times Commonwealth Gold Medallist, as well as having fourteen Australian National titles to his name.

Geoff is considered one of Australia's biggest personalities in the swimming world, as well as the nation's favourite 'comeback kid'.

Affectionately known as 'Skippy', Geoff's remarkable story is that of a true Aussie battler fighting his way back to an international, elite swimming level.

After the Athens Olympic Games, Geoff prematurely retired and gained a substantial amount of weight, tipping the scales at 138kg. Geoff decided enough was enough and soon announced his comeback to competitive swimming. He put together a comprehensive 2 year plan to manage his health and get back into shape to swim for Australia again.

At the age of 31, Geoff trained intensely and lost over 49kg. His champion mind-set, sheer dedication and passion for swimming led him to achieve his fastest times in the pool and he became the second fastest butterfly swimmer in the world.  Geoff was able to capture the hearts of Australians by winning numerous medals at the Delhi Commonwealth Games and also the World Championships in Shanghai.

In the process of his comeback quest, Geoff took a place in the Australian psyche as a true iconic Australian who beat the odds, overcame adversity and proved triumphant.  Geoff is no doubt a powerful role-model.

Today, Geoff is an Athlete-Entrepreneur and co-director of many companies.  He has positioned himself within the ranks of the business and corporate world, humanitarian ambassadorships, civic-minded projects, and undertaking socially responsible community outreach initiatives. Geoff shares his powerful insights, imparting his knowledge to executives, managers and staff by sharing the skill and disciplines he's learnt from elite sport and shows how they can be applied to any business.
