Decline in eye contact bad for business

Danielle Di-Masi was recently featured in's piece on the decline of eye contact and its effect on a business' bottom line.

As one of our sales trends specialists Danielle believes that eye contact is fundamental to business life.

"Human beings need validation and that comes with eye contact, but it's happening less and less. Think of the guy in the convenience store who might have 50 to 100 interactions without any of his customers looking him in the eye.

"To do well in business, as Dale Carnegie said in How to Win Friends and Influence People, you should make everyone you meet feel important and you do that by making and maintaining eye contact.
