As Long As It Grooves

"AS LONG AS IT GROOVES" are a Sydney based funk/rnb/groove cover band. The band started in the latter half of 2004 with a lineup of experienced musicians. They are Chloe West on vocals, Lauryn Winter on vocals, Shane Angus on guitar, Harley Economou on keys, Ken Folan on bass, David Zappia on drums. All members of the band are in the final stages or finished studying music degrees at the Australian Institute of Music, and have years of playing experience on a professional level. It is at the Institute that the band members met and came together.

"AS LONG AS IT GROOVES" have performed in such venues as the Basement, T2 bar Taylor Square, Side on Cafe, Howie Complex (Sydney Showground), Cat and Fiddle hotel, Vic on the Psark, Charlie Barker room (Jannali), Coogee Bay Surf Club, and The Monkey Bar in balmain where the band continues a fortnightly residency on Tuesday nights. They have also performed at numerous weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events. Currently the band has been developing a relationship with Fox Sports and will be playing for their sporting event after-parties including events such as the Bledisloe Cup.

"AS LONG AS IT GROOVES" believe in two things: Musicianship and Showmanship. No crowd leaves a performance unsatisfied. That is their guarantee.
