Cheryl Bart and her daughter Nikki Bart are the first-ever mother-daughter team to summit the world's tallest mountain, Mt Everest. Upon reaching the top, they also became the first mother-daughter duo to complete the Seven Summits; climbing the highest peak of every continent in the world. In 2008, they were the recipients of the Australian Geographic Spirit of Adventure Award.

Cheryl, a mother of 2, lawyer and non-executive Director, is a graduate in Commerce and Law from the University of NSW. She is Chairman of the South Australian Film Corporation, the Adelaide Film Festival and Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund. Cheryl is also a non-executive Director on a number of boards including Spark Infrastructure Ltd, Economic Development Board, AER Foundation, ETSA Utilities, Growth Properties Limited and an ambassador for the Peres Centre for Peace. Her past directorships include Sydney Ports Corporation, EOS Ltd, Soccer Australia, Basketball Australia, Australian Sports Foundation and the Defence Industry Advisory Board. She has always been involved in a range of pro bono and charitable activities.

In addition to a strong interest and support in the Arts, Cheryl has taken on many mountaineering challenges. As well as completing the Seven Summits, she has also climbed Cho Oyu in the Himalayas, the 6th highest mountain in the world.
