Specialty Areas

In the business of ‘show’, Darryl Lovegrove has done it all. An Australian Event Awards ‘Entertainer of the Year’, a music theatre star and co-creator of the world’s most booked corporate entertainment act ‘The Three Waiters’, Darryl’s compelling stories and key take-home messages are a ‘must see’ for conference attendees worldwide.

He is a unique combination of entrepreneur, speaker and showman - a mesmerising blend of business smarts, engaging storytelling and live opera! It is a combination that has made Darryl one of Australia’s most in demand business and resilience speakers, headlining many Top 500 company conferences including the famed ‘Million Dollar Round Table’ in the USA.

Achieving and exceeding your personal performance goals is a challenging endeavour, yet simpler than you might think. Darryl draws on more than 25 years’ experience as an award-winning performer and theatrical producer of some of the biggest and most popular shows in Australasia to show how ‘hitting the high notes’ is something that everyone should be able to do whenever they need to do it. Peak performance is not a one-off highlight but rather a consistent outcome born of a never-ending cycle of purpose, action, momentum, resilience and self-belief.

  • Learn how peak performance starts with a purpose or vision
  • How being brave and taking action creates performance momentum
  • Why resilience is critical to consistent performance
  • How self-belief takes performance even higher

Darryl Lovegrove is a showman and he believes every person and business can learn and be inspired by what shows teach us – not just the stories that they tell but the stories and the people behind them. Whatever your stage, Darryl will show you how you are perfectly cast in your role and that it is now time for you to shine. He will inspire you to master peak performance so you can achieve, and exceed, your personal performance goals time and time again.

What does he talk about?
Lovegrove is high-energy, but tells his story in an easy fashion, cutting through corporate jargon and relating some great anecdotes. Discussing how most businesses are faced with similar issues ie - focus, goal-setting, price-leadership and quality control, Lovegrove outlines how he personally approaches these but goes on to highlight what happens when things take that sudden turn for the worst. For Lovegrove it was when 9/11 struck the USA and crippled their events industry overnight. He believes that's when traits such as resilience and endurance become a necessity and those who can't adapt or innovate will struggle to survive in business.

How does he incorporate the singing?
As an award-winning vocalist and musical theatre performer, for the past 20 years Lovegrove has been witness to the power of music to engage an audience. The ultimate compliment for "The Three Waiters" was an invitation to perform for their inspiration - world's greatest opera singers "The Three Tenors". Lovegrove concludes his presentation with a performance of the legendary aria "Nessun Dorma" and finds that regardless of industry or the size and demographic of the audience, people unanimously report this to be an 'unexpected thrill' that is highly motivating and leaves them feeling they can achieve anything!

Darryl is the perfect opener or closer for a Conference, incentive or event. Entertaining as it is informative, he delivers an injection of real inspiration to audiences everywhere needing true motivation, insight and clear direction.

Testimonials

Darryl's presentation to the AFA Conference ensured that a great event has already become the most memorable of the last 10 years.
- Chief Executive Officer, Association of Financial Advisers Ltd

I'm a veteran of conferences and I've seen my share of keynote speeches and inspirational stories so I can be tough to impress. Your presentation at the AFA National Conference was a highlight and one of the most entertaining sessions I've ever attended. Your engaging and enthusiastic style was brilliantly exploited as you recounted your story of the evolution and ultimate success of "The 3 Waiters". I, together with the rest of the audience was thrilled with your performance of Nessun Dorma and frankly was disappointed that there wasn't time for you to sing some more. Whether speaking or singing, you are clearly an accomplished and polished performer. As I said, you were a highlight. The story of your success was inspirational and as if that wasn't praiseworthy enough, you packaged it into an hour of entertainment. Well done!
- Canberra Life and Superranuation

Darryl is outstanding and versatile. His presentation is full of pertinent points that relate to life in general as well as business. He is a dynamic entertainer and the conclusion of his presentation is the only one I have ever attended where everyone ends up on their feet and there is a spontaneous standing applause - fabulous way to end a conference. Darryl also performed at our gala dinner and was fabulous. Undoubtedly one of the best performers we have engaged.

In the twenty years I have been delivering excellence to my clients, I have drawn up (very) short lists of speakers and entertainers that have exceeded my highest expectations. After your time with us on our recent Aon Conference, I can confirm you went straight to the top of both lists. Your truly memorable keynote session at the end of a very long day deserved the standing ovation you were given – and your truly stunning outdoor post dinner show under the Northern Territory night sky left every single person breathless. It was simply superb!
