Award Winning Scientist and Environmentalist.

Dr Graeme Pearman, highly awarded scientist, passionate environmentalist and advisor to former US Vice President Al Gore on environmental issues and controversial documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Internationally regarded for his work, Dr Pearman is an influencer in media, governmental and industry body circles and is instrumental in bringing climate change to the Australian awareness. His tenacity, dedication and expertise in the field of science and the environment is currently channelled through his own consultancy, and a Directorship role with the Monash University Sustainability Institute.

Dr. Graeme Pearman was Chief of Atmospheric Research at CSIRO for 10 years. He contributed over 150 scientific journal papers primarily on aspects of the global carbon budget. He left CSIRO to run his own consultancy company.

He was elected to Fellowship of the Australian Academy of Science, the Royal Society of Victoria and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He was awarded the CSIRO Medal, a United Nation's Environment Program Global 500 Award, Australian Medal of the Order of Australia and a Federation Medal. He was a finalist in the Prime Minister's Environmentalist of the Year and Brodie-Hall lecturer. He acted as science advisor to the Hon Al Gore during his recent visit to Australia.

Examples of his current activities are: Chair, START International (Washington) System for Analysis, Research and Training; Advisory Bodies/Boards of WWF, Greenfleet Australia, Environment Business Australia and the Climate Institute; Chair, Antarctic Research Assessment Committee (Physical Sciences) of the Australian Antarctic Division; Member, Australian Climate Group. Member of the Board, Monash Sustainability Institute.
