Olympic and Commonwealth Games champion swimmer Hayley Lewis hung up her swimming goggles and turned her passion into small business. With no previous business training or on-the-job experience, Hayley opened the first learn-to-swim school located in a major shopping centre in Australia that ran for a decade. Due to Westfield closures, Hayley said goodbye to swimming and closed the Swim School. Hayley then embarked on another life-long dream and bought a well know Brisbane gift store called 'Coming Up Roses' and proven to be another one of Hayley's business successes. Hayley remains highly sought after for speaking engagements and personal appearances.
Based on Hayley Lewis' book and entitled 'DREAM, BELIEVE, CREATE: A WOMAN'S GUIDE TO SMALL BUSINESS' and in addition to Hayley's inspirational/motivational keynote, Hayley has developed a keynote address targetting women in business. For every woman who has ever dreamt of starting her own business and contains inspirational case studies and practical information from enterprising women.
Hayley is available to speak about the following topics:
Researching your idea and competition
Creating a winning business plan
Getting the location right
Marketing and building your customer base
Staying motivated and maintaining a healthy work/life balance
Hayley did a fantastic job MCing the Myer/Davenport event with Stephanie Rice & Eamon Sullivan. There was a large and varying crowd in attendance, to which her interview questions and the way she interacted on and off the stage and kept proceedings flowing with both athletes was terrific!
Hayley was very informative and kept the audience engaged with her memories about her career. We would recommend her for any future events as a speaker
