Jodie-Joy is a versatile, polished performer with a powerful voice.  One of Australia's finest adult contemporary vocalists, bursting with versatility, performing popular cover songs (variety of styles jazz, cabaret, pop, classical) and her own original songs on request from her debut album. Jodie can be selected as individual solo act, within her jazz duo/trio playing or can produced a fully choreographed, themed stage show complete with backing dancers and dazzling costumes. Her obvious vocal and creative talents has enabled her to collaborate with some notable artists including Daniel Jones (Savage Garden), Audius (Delta Goodrem), Paul McDermott (Good News Wk Host), Paul Mac and Phil Burton of Human Nature. Jodie is capturing audiences with her truly international voice.

As a third generation professional singer and granddaughter of the late Donald Sydney Smith OBE, arguablely one of the greatest living operatic tenors. Jodie has been surrounded by music her whole life, which she has used as a springboard to develop her talent and fulfil her passion, her ambition her destiny.

Jodie was born to perform! She has been formally trained in contemporary vocals since the age of 4. This vibrant and captivating performer also has eleven years of extensive dance training from jazz to ballet, which underpins Jodie's rhythm, style and presence on stage and on camera.

A well-travelled and spirited person, Jodie writes with passion and emotion, creating works that span the genres - commercial ballads and popular music - highlighted by her meticulous vocal and lyrical prowess.

Continuing to evolve with her music she is guided by her ambition to share her gift with her ever-increasing supporter fan base.  Jodie has supported many high profile acts, toured internationally and nationally as singer, dancer and choreographed her own productions which toured throughout Australia and South East Asia.

SOME NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Logie Awards - Opening Act as a member of 'Pop Tarts', all girl band and performed regularly on Channel 10's 'Good News Week'.

International Gigs - At the Hard Rock Cafe and Fashion Cafe overseas Jodie performed some of her original songs, including starring in many overseas stage shows.

Originals Live - Movie Premiere of 'Austin Powers', 'Manhattan Nights Club', Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour and AusWrite Songwriting Sessions Opening night.

Choreographed Shows and Performed Nationally - with the world famous Flying Lotah's show, "Sensation" - singing, dancing,
magic and aerial spectacular.

"Go Pink " Corporate band - Supported acts such as "Christine Anu" and "Leah Haywood".

John Waters

John Waters is one of Australia's most recognised and respected film and theatre actors. Son of Scottish actor Russell Waters, John’s childhood was spent around film studios and appearing in minor roles. Arriving in Australia in 1968 he was cast in the US film Adam's Woman, landed the lead role of Claude in the 1969 production of rock musical, Hair alongside Marcia Hines, and later the role of Judas in Godspell.
