Arguably one of Australia's leading drivers of the 90's and part of the Holden Racing Team, Mark Skaife has an enviable reputation surrounded with success. In 2001 Mark succeeded in clenching his 2nd Championship for the Holden Racing Team, and 4th overall.
As many professional racing drivers, Mark's career began in karts in 1981 before progressing to racing car activities in 1984 - aged 17. In 1987 he began a long association with Gibson Motorsport, which resulted in three Touring Car Championships, two Bathurst wins and three Australian Drivers (Gold Star) titles in open wheelers.

Mark joined HRT in 1997, co-driving with Peter Brock for his last two events, then contested a full series with HRT in 1998. In 1999 Mark enjoyed a most successful season, winning 6 out of the 13 rounds of the series, which would have in past years secured the Championship, however finish 3rd. In 2000 he won his first Championship in a HRT Commodore.

Skaife is probably one of the busiest professional racing car drivers off the track, with a heavy schedule of team and personal sponsor commitments as well as being part of HSV's Product Development Committee and the HSV Skaife Drive-Ability driver training program. Mark represents AVESCO on track safety, design and had much input to the creation of the circuit for the Canberra street race.

A perfectionist, Mark is dedicated to constantly improving the performance of the teams racing Commodore, working constantly with his data and engineering people at the workshop, during testing and at race meetings to ensure his Holden Racing Team Commodore is always competitive.

John Waters

John Waters is one of Australia's most recognised and respected film and theatre actors. Son of Scottish actor Russell Waters, John’s childhood was spent around film studios and appearing in minor roles. Arriving in Australia in 1968 he was cast in the US film Adam's Woman, landed the lead role of Claude in the 1969 production of rock musical, Hair alongside Marcia Hines, and later the role of Judas in Godspell. This quickly led to a flourishing career on stage, film, and television with ABC TV's Rush in 1974 earning him a Logie Award for Best New Talent, and quickly followed by films such as End Play, Summerfield, Breaker Morant, All the Rivers Run, Nancy Wake and Alice to Nowhere. From 1972 he hosted the children’s ABC program Play School for a decade, and regularly appeared until 1991, endearing him to generations.
