Keynote Presentations:

Antarctica: a journey to the ends of the earth
As a 22-year-old, Matt and 4 others set sail aboard a 43-foot yacht bound for Antarctica on a 54-day expedition across one of the deadliest and dangerous oceans on the planet.  After a near fatal storm nearly a thousand miles from land, Matt and the teams heroic fight for survival sparked a change in Matt's life and the event became the foundation of his leadership journey.

North Pole: sitting still means going backwards
Matt's brush with death in the icy waters of the Great Southern Ocean ignited a passion to lead others to the ends of the earth. Matt became the youngest Australian to reach the North Pole,  returning as an expedition co-leader on 2 more occasions.  Surviving -45oC to battling ice drifts that move the team backwards while dragging heavy sleds, Matt knows the perseverance needed to lead a team through challenge, change and ambiguity.

A journey: to leadership
In 5 short years Matt went from being a 22 year old novice adventurer to co leading his 3rd expedition to the North Pole & partnering with PricewaterhouseCoopers on an 18 month firm wide engagement program.  Join Matt as he delivers the insights into his Journey to leadership. Not only will the audience walk away engaged & inspired but they will gain valuable knowledge & tips to accelerate their own journey to leadership.

Africa: navigating a complex ecosystem
Today, organizations face more and more pressure to successfully navigate their own complex ecosystems. Whether it's within their teams, the wider organization, or with customers, understanding the complexity of a global and interconnected world can be a big challenge.  Matt introduced himself to a new challenging ecosystem, when he paddled 300 miles down the Trans-Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa. Venturing away from his comfort zone of polar regions, Matt had to navigate this new environment with a new team, and after 2 years spent recuperating from an injury.  This powerful story of stepping outside one's comfort zone and facing fear will inspire the audience to manage the complexities of leading through change, collaboration, and courage - to conquer the changing and complex world.

Testimonials

Matt McFadyen was an ABSOLUTE hit. It has been a long time since I have seen a speaker hold the whole audience attention for over 40 minutes. Matt painted a picture which I would align with Picasso brilliance, his style is better then some much older speakers who are well entrenched on the circuit.,If this is where Matt is at 23 and just starting...sell me shares ill invest!!,,...His experience left the audience touched by his open sharing of the emotional highs and lows belonging to such an adventure...Highly Motivating.

Matt was the guest speaker at our fundraising luncheon, the entire audience was captivated by Matt's presentation. The way he told his story, the emotion he showed and the message he left us all with was truly inspiring. For a 22 year old to leave the audience wanting more as Matt did is a testament to Matt's ability as a speaker. He is a truly remarkable young man with a huge future.,,...I would have no hesitation in recommending Matt as guest speaker

Matt sure knows how to transport an audience. By the end of his presentation I could feel the waves and smell the ice. But the most impressive thing about Matt's story for me was not how professionally and confidently he spoke but the honesty and openness with which he expressed his emotional voyage. Matt holds nothing back in his recitation and this was more moving to me than the feat of sailing a 43 foot yacht to Antarctica. Matt doesn't try to preach a lesson, the motivational life lesson emerges from the fabric of his story and it is the more powerful because of that.,,Everyone in our group who heard him speak were inspired by his planning, dedication and ability to keep going even when his team mates would have carried him. This story embodies the principle that the most important thing in life is the journey, not the destination
