Muggera is a family group who prides itself on its cultural knowledge and professionalism. The members for Muggera come from a long line of cultural leaders, world-class performers, with a formidable respect for culture.

All members of Muggera have been performing and sharing their cultures for many years and have been guided by their Elders over many decades. Muggera has ongoing support from Elders and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to share culture, establish Muggera Cultural Enterprise, and maintain strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performance, education and engagement.

Kunjil [carn-jill - dance]

A traditional Aboriginal performance package that includes:

  • Smoking Ceremony and Acknowledgment of Country
  • Live Song Man, didgeridoo player and 2 to 4 dancers
  • Storytelling throughout the songs and dances
  • Duration: 10 to 30 minutes

Smoking + Acknowledgement

A traditional Smoking Ceremony performed outdoors/indoors that includes:

  • Cleansing with smoke + song
  • Didgeridoo
  • Acknowledgement of Country in language + English
  • Duration: 5 to 20 minutes
