Nigel is the author of three best selling books – 'Fat, Forty and Fired' ,‘Overworked and Underlaid' and 'Fit, Fifty and Fired-Up' , co-founder of Earth Hour (recognized as one of the most successful brand launches anywhere in the world recently) , and founder of The Sydney Skinny (both a world first and a world record). He is currently making a TV series of his first book.
Alongside his writing Nigel has a more 'conventional' career as a CEO. Since moving to Australia in 2001, after ten years at UK's leading agency AMV.BBDO, he has been responsible for a number of iconic marketing and strategy brands such as Leo Burnett, George Patterson, The Leading Edge and The Campaign Palace.

Currently CEO of Strategic Consultancy WEST82nd Nigel is an advisor to a number of the countries top business leaders. His commentary has appeared in The Financial Times, The Spectator and The Financial Review and his TED speech remains the most viewed online ever given outside America. Nigel travels widely to present his views on Leadership, Business and Life. Amongst his other roles he is busy writing his fourth book for Penguin and recording interviews with prominent public figures for his internationally acclaimed and award winning The Five of My Life podcast series

This quickly led to a flourishing career on stage, film, and television with ABC TV's Rush in 1974 earning him a Logie Award for Best New Talent, and quickly followed by films such as End Play, Summerfield, Breaker Morant, All the Rivers Run, Nancy Wake and Alice to Nowhere. From 1972 he hosted the children’s ABC program Play School for a decade, and regularly appeared until 1991, endearing him to generations.
